Encarna Turner is a Lecturer of Spanish. She graduated with a BA in
Spanish Translation and a MA in Spanish, with emphasis in Linguistics
from Brigham Young University. She worked for AT&T and Lucent
Technologies as a technical translator for over five years prior to
coming to teach at Wake Forest University. While at Lucent Technologies
she was also able to work in the area of software localization and had
experience working with oversees translation houses, in Spain and
Mexico. During her time at Wake Forest she's been able to direct the
Salamanca Study Abroad Program in Salamanca, Spain. Currently, she
serves as the Director for the Intensive Summer Language Institute which
takes place over the first Summer Session.
