Jenny Puckett is a lecturer in Spanish at her alma mater, Wake Forest.  Her primary teaching interests are Spanish language, grammar, and composition.  She is or has been faculty advisor to several student organizations. After graduation from Wake Forest, she received the Master of Arts degree from Middlebury College.  She has spent many years working with the College Board as a leader in the grading of the Advanced Placement Spanish Language examination. Her research interest is the history of Wake Forest, and she is currently working on a biography of Harold W. Tribble, 10th president of the university.  In her free time, she interviews members of the Wake Forest community, in particular, those who lived through or were involved in the removal program (1946-1956) which brought the school from the town of Wake Forest to Winston-Salem.

WORK EXPERIENCE

1995- PRESENT: Lecturer, Wake Forest University. Teach classes which include Spanish 111, Spanish 112, Spanish 113, Spanish 153, Spanish 154, Spanish 213, Spanish 220, and Spanish 319.

1989-1993: Instructor of Spanish, Salem College, Winston-Salem, NC. Taught classes which included all levels of Spanish language.

1976-1987: Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, Winston-Salem, NC. Taught Advanced Placement Spanish Language, Advanced Placement Spanish Literature, and taught Spanish in the Gifted and Talented program in several elementary schools. Served as a Mentor Teacher.


RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE

2004-2009: Served as Question Leader for Educational Testing Service, Advanced Placement Spanish Language Exam. Train and supervise approximately 600 table leaders and readers of the essay portion of the exam

2006: Rubrics Research Project, Educational Testing Service, Advanced Placement Spanish Language: produced new grading rubrics for expanded Advanced Placement examination (new for 2007)

1999- 2003: Cincinnati, Ohio, Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas, and Clemson University, Clemson, South Carolina. Served as Table Leader for Educational Testing Service, Advanced Placement Spanish Language Exam. Participated in the establishment of grading standards for the composition portion of the AP Spanish Language Exam; also trained and supervised Readers of the exam.

1998-99: Served as a Reader of the Advanced Placement Spanish Language Exam, Trinity University and Clemson University.
