Dr. Sara Moreno de Nicolás pursued her B.A. in English Philology at the Department of Linguistics at Georgetown University and Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). She received her M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics and her Ph.D. in Sociolinguistics and Literary Theory from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid as well. Her research interests focus on Sociolinguistics, Discourse Analysis, Semantics and Psycholinguistics. Her current research consists of Discourse Analysis and Cultural production, such as advertising discourse, cultural and societal discourses, gender and media. She has published several articles in international journals. Recently, she spends her free time volunteering as an interpreter at non-profit organizations.
